Frank was born on a northern Iowa farm in May 2021. He was loaned to a petting zoo for the summer to be used for their visitor season. Staff at the petting zoo noticed declining health in August. His owner declined basic veterinary care. Frank had urinary stones that were causing extreme pain and would soon be fatal if untreated. Frank spent a month at the Iowa State Veterinary Hospital, and it was determined that Frank’s urethra had ruptured from being left with these stone’s for far too long. Frank will never be able to urinate normally and will need lifetime special care. Frank will never again have an “owner.” Frank will be part of a goat and human family who are ever passionate about his care and well-being.
