Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate employee to provide for daily care needs of the sanctuary’s residents and support Hercules’ Haven’s mission.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Barn and habitat cleaning
- Animal feeding and care
- Monitoring special needs animals
- Grounds maintenance
- Assist with farm errands including vet trips
Qualifications
- Must love animals, treat them kindly and compassionately
- Experience with farmed animals is preferred
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions and meet animal care schedules
- Must maintain a plant-based lifestyle during the term of service
- Great communication skills
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Hard-working and dependable
- Able to work well independently
- Ability to work in harsh/all weather conditions
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor and lifting upwards of 50lbs
- Commitment to Hercules’ Haven goals and programs
- Must have valid driver’s license
Specifications
Committed to 24 hrs per week with the following schedule as an example. Schedule can be negotiable.
- Monday Off
- Tuesday 7 -10AM, 4-6PM
- Wednesday 7 -10AM, 4-6PM
- Thursday 7 -10AM, 4-6PM
- Friday 7 -10AM, 4-6PM
- Saturday 8-12
- Sunday Off
90-day probationary period
After probation, 6-month commitment
